Mercedes AMG GLC63 Tuning – M177 Tuning
The Mercedes AMG GLC63 tuning brings the luxurious SUV to a whole new performance level. The stock vehicle starts with already respectable 510 hp and 700 Nm of torque, but our Stage 1 M177 tuning gives the elevated sports car 572 hp and 822 Nm of torque.
The M177 is actually a variant of the M176 which we have already worked on in the G500 W464. However, it does bear some differences. The particular M177 used in the GLC63 has a single-scrolled turbo, just like the C63 one, as opposed to the one in the E63 and S63 which has a twin-scroll turbo with even more potential for power. We tune those models too, giving immense power to stunning everyday cars.
However, this one is not lacking in any way. In fact, we can make it as powerful as the twin-scroll non-S version with our M177 tuning project. And that is only Stage 1 GLC63 tuning.
All of the changes for our Mercedes AMG GLC63 tuning are done on the OEM ECU Bosch MED17.7.5. There are no new parts, no hardware changes and the only difference is the software installed in the ECU.
However, if you want even more power, we can provide that with hardware changes that can improve various aspects of the operation of the M177, including intake and exhaust ability, fuel delivery hardware or even more hardcore turbochargers.
But back to this particular one.
The owner wanted only Stage 1 Mercedes AMG GLC63 tuning which includes no hardware changes, but does require a precise software adjustment that preserves safety of the vehicle, does not jeopardize its reliability, but adds noticeably more power.
In order to do this, we needed to meet two requirements. First of all, we needed to have thorough information about the stock parts used, the levels of stress they can handle and their general durability and performance. Secondly, we needed meticulous testing and data logging done on top-notch equipment in order to make sure we push them to their very limits but never cross them.
This is how you get top power, but without any problems.
This kind of knowledge and experience allows us to tune this car, as well as all others with the M177 engine, as well as its variations in the form of M176 and M178. This means we perform M177 tuning for a large number of cars. The M177 version alone is used in the C63, E63, S63, GT63, the latest version of G63 and even Aston Martin DB11 V8 and Vantage models.
